The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that
change lives both close to home and around the world.
Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent
more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. Here in Port
Orford, all-time giving to the Rotary Foundation has exceeded $240,000 with
more than $10,000 raised last year and we are well on our way of reaching
this year’s goal of $12,000. With your help, we are making lives better here
in Port Orford and around the world.
This year, The Rotary Club of Port Orford is giving $2,500 to the Port
Orford Common Good food bank and another $2,500 to the Port Orford
Meals for Neighbors to help alleviate local food insecurity. We are also
improving literacy by supporting our five local libraries with books–the Port
Orford Library, the Langlois Library, and the school libraries in Pacific High,
Driftwood School and Head Start. In addition, our club is contributing $3000
this year to support the Guatemala Adopt-A-Village program.
Our mission: The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance
world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing
quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
